SVODVODDVDThe Carmelite Path of Silent Prayer
Christian Spirituality, very often misunderstood, offers very relevant paths in response to the thirst of man in quest of the absolute. This documentary (drama) allows us to discover silent prayer as it is practiced throughout the world by Carmelite friars and nuns, but also by lay people. A legitimate spiritual path, silent or interior prayer was first initiated by St. Teresa of Avila, and then elaborated on by other Carmelite Saints such as St. John of the Cross, and closer to our era, St. Teresa of the Child Jesus.
Four speakers bring us into a deep understanding of this type of prayer, an authentic dialogue of « friendship where we speak often, one on one, with the One who we know loves us » according to the famous definition of St. Teresa of Avila.
The story (fiction) illustrates the improbable meeting of a man and a woman. Gabrielle, in her thirties, a young modern woman, who is aware of the presence of Christ within her, and who regularly practices silent prayer. Alex, in his forties, is a man searching for happiness, seek to find himself by wandering around the world. Fate will bring about the unlikely meeting of the two which will lead Alex to be touched by grâce.
